George Lake Outfitting
After traveling to Saskatchewan for more than 20 years to enjoy all the great hunting and fishing opportunities, I knew that this northern wilderness region was my calling.
In 2016 we charted a float plane to fly 89 miles north of the last civilization to George Lake. We discovered an abandoned old camp on the most beautiful lake I’ve ever seen. After 4 days of the best fresh water fishing I’ve ever experienced, the decision was made and George Lake Outfitting was born. Through out that winter, with the help of a great many people, and hundreds of snowmobile trips, the construction of the new camp was completed. I can proudly say this undertaking has not disappointed. Since our opening we have consistently run 40%-50% harvest on record book black bears and the trophy fishing is second to none.

ADVENTURES
Hunting & Fishing
Bear
This is a true wilderness black bear hunt. The remoteness of our northern Saskatchewan camp ensures a world class bear hunting opportunity. Saskatchewan has a thriving black bear population, making it an ideal destination for hunters. Year after year Saskatchewan produces record book bears, providing incredible trophy potential for spring hunts. In addition this providence boats a good percentage of highly sought after color phase bruins. We offer archery or gun hunts conducted from ladder stands and ground blinds. Bear baits are placed in natural travel corridors on the lake shore and along tributary creeks going to and from the surrounding lakes. Typical sites have more than one stand to accommodate archery and gun hunters.
Fishing
George Lake is over 6,000 acres of crystal clear water registering a depth of over 200 feet. It has an abundance of bays, islands and coves, creating a perfect environment for the fish to reach trophy potential. Loaded with large northern pike and lake trout, this lake has been in a management program since 2003 to maintain it as a major trophy fishing lake. We practice catch and release on the larger size fish but, allow plenty of good eating size to be kept each day. For those walleye enthusiasts we maintain boats at a 900 acre neighboring lake which day trips are offered and no additional cost. Whether you prefer to bait cast, fly fish, or troll over the varying structure in the lake, any method is highly successful.
